Any Recommendations for a 60W or 100W Portable Solar Panel?

I'm looking for a portable solar panel that does 60W or 100W charging at a fast rate. Hopefully something around the $100 or $200 range? Found some on Aliexpress / Temu, but not sure if they're good or not coz they're unbranded.

Mainly wanna charge my devices while I'm camping/hiking/travelling somewhere with lots of sun.

Have bought 3 foldable solar panels from temu. 10 watt, 60 watt and a 25.
All are as advertised when checking them with a multimeter.
Surprised at the good quality of the foldable 60 and 25. Not a fan of the 10 watt as it has a controller that sucks where the 60 and 25 have usb and type c sockets they are excellent.
Got them both for around $10 each . Originally $40 and $60 but find its great to leave things in the cart on temu and many kinds of the item you want.
Because temu will send you awesome price drops on whats in your cart.
Also give temu a phone number, the best offers have come through txts and whatsapp.
    Hope some of that's usefull.
Now looking for a couple of decent power banks.
One on trademe is $17 and 20 000 ma.
But liking the 30 000 ma one at noel leeming as it's surely what it's advertised as.
Wouldn't mind some advice about powerbanks if any cheapies have some guidance there thanks.

    • Some airlines wont let you take powerbanks above a certain capacity on flights. I was fine travelling overseas with a 20000mah but i think a 30000mah would have not been allowed - something to consider.

Also check its input and output charging speeds. Ideally both would be high so it charges itself quicker as well as being able to fast charge yor phone and other devices

    • Can you share the links plz? I got a 100W one from Temu and the USB-C output doesn't work. That's the one with the highest charge rate. Ended up getting a full refund without return.

  • I brought two 60w solar panels if temu and they both charged slower than the 20w one I already had from Ali Express. I would stay away and buy one from pb tech or Jaycar.

    • Did the 60 w temu panels have a controller or just sockets to plug into can I ask?
The one 10 watt I got with the controller isn't good the controller surges the power is why

    • yeah but they're all like $300+. I'm only getting it for the sake of using it at home coz I get plenty of sun. Not really using it for any other specific purposes to justify spending $300. Maybe $200 would be my max

  • Oh. I wasn't allowed to post the link oops it was unpublished.
Its a 60 watt black foldable panel. 6 panels and two ports usb A and C.
Will do some accurate testing today

  • Same deal the C type usb doesnt work.
    But here's some data.
30 mins charged a flat bank enough to charge the phone 6% in the A type.
And 30 mins of the phone plugged in the A type gained 8%.
    Full early afternoon sun.
Ill go for a refund too, just hope they dont want it back because I scored it for $10 and still want it for that price.
Will test the 25 watt which only has 1 A usb socket. I know it works but no accurate data on it. Confident its ok

    • Yeah, I got a full refund. According to their spec sheet, type C is supposed to have the highest power output and that's why I wanted to use it.

  • Results for the temu 25 watt. Foldable 4 panel.
30 mins full sun gained 5 % battery on a 5000 ma phone battery.
Only has 1 usb A socket.
Its also camo and didn't get as hot as the black one even though the panels are black and look identical to the 60 watt. I'd go with camo again if buying another.

    • So advertised 25W but you're only charging it at 2.5W at 500mA for 30mins….

  • Thanks was going to work that out.
Not sure if a battery gains 100% of the charge put into it. And maybe other variables such as the cord and time of year, even the proximity to the equator,
    pollution etc .
Got a multimeter on the way, mine broke. That may help with extra information.
Mine are for an emergency kit. I'm a Christchurchian quake surfer. :)
These work, probably not as advertised. But would be extremely handy in another emergency situation and that's what they are for in my case.
    Sweet for $10 each.

  • Also the phone was on forgot to add

  • Got an instant refund for the 60 watt. And get to keep it.
Thanks very much for the info about the C type socket.
Actually paid $18.69 for it and because it arrived late got a $5 credit which they didn't take back.
So up $5 and a free panel. Cheers
