I've always loved Fisher and Paykel. I do like supporting a "New Zealand" company, even if this is pretty diluted these days with offshore manufacturing etc. But the other good thing is a really solid availability of parts, both new and second hand. Heaps of advice and tutorials out there too if you do run into issues.

Bought a new F&P 4 years ago to replace a much older second hand dish drawer. Running flawlessly ever since with at least a daily run.

I've got the DW60FC1X1 price was $998. Still a current model by the look.

If you go second hand F&P is a great choice, again because of the parts and support available if needed.

  • I got the Euromaid E14DWB and all I can say is it was very cheap (I think I got it @ Harvey outlet for ~$600) and it has worked without issues. I was either going to get this or the Bosch with the extra disinfection function. But the price differences was over 1k and it didn't feel worth it in the end. The salesperson was confident in its performance and durability (they had sold quite a few units of this) , and after using it for about 8 months now, I can say I have no issues with cleaning everything I throw at it, performs well, has the usual features and good placement of dishes.

  • I got Midea 15 Place Dishwasher(tradedepot.co.nz) for sale at 539 last year during easter as a replacment to one that broke.

Its been good so far and cleans quite well using the 90 min cycle. Also has built in wifi and an app so you cna programme cleaning to take advantage of cheaper overnight rates/ free power.
