have you tried aliexpress? Everytime any of my cans' pads deteriorate I just go on there and get a replacement. Was even able to buy an upgrade to the Q45 ear pads that had cooling pads inside
Aliexpress/Temu sells them, or get the replacement pads from PB Tech.
I've used mine for years and never had this problem though. I've owned WH-1000XM3 all the way to XM5, including the WF series all the way till XM5. Also have a few pairs of Bose QuietComfort and Sennheisers. None of them have any issues with the earpad degradation. You must sweat a lot or have oily ears. Recommend to clean your ears inside and out properly while you shower or while you wash your face, add it to your daily routine.
And get alcohol pads/wipes, they're cheap on Temu. I think I bought over 500 for like $10. I keep them in my bag when I go to work and they're light and easy to carry. I also keep them by my desk so I can clean my earpads whenever I feel like my ears are getting sweaty or oily. I always inspect my earpads after use to make sure they look pristine. Same with the eartips for my earbuds, I clean them and make sure they're not dirty.
Surprised the alcohol wipes didn't deteriorate the pads tbh
I got a pair of these a few years ago, "upgraded" from the 1st gen that had the hinge fault. Still happy with them but the ear pads have started to disintegrate, anyone recommend a good replacement?
