Perplexity AI is a conversational search platform that employs advanced language models to deliver accurate answers to a wide range of queries, from the simplest to the most complex. However, it's important to note that the accuracy of its answers is determined by the capabilities of the AI and the data available in its databases.

This deal seems to be getting a few hits on OzBargain so have posted here.
Limited to 20,000 licences.
I've managed to download and have it working but haven't had a go with it yet.
You can use any email adress (I created a new one) and no payment information is taken.
The Moj Telekom HR app is only required for initial setup so you can delete it afterwards.

Steps how to obtain deal

  • Download this app on Android(play.google.com)or iOS(apps.apple.com)
  • Open the App and select English language
  • Sign in with email, and validate the code you receive in your email
  • Once you are signed in there is a banner on the home screen "I want an AI assistant" click on it.
  • Then click on "Join NOW" in Magenta Moments.
  • Accept the conditions and a scratch card will appear
  • Unlock with your 300 points the Perplexity Pro and copy your personal code
  • Redeem your code here(perplexity.ai)

Congratulations you have Perplexity Pro free for a year. No payment information required.

    I can't see the "I want an AI assistant" banner. I signed in with my Apple ID. It shouldn't make any difference, should it?

    It's failing for me; attempting to use the virtual scratch card results in a "something went wrong! Request was throttled. Please refresh in 1976 seconds. Go back and retry."

      That was reported by some users.
      Here’s a comment(ozbargain.com.au) with that issue and got it working.
      They suggested turning off wifi but that was ok for me.

        I tried clearing the app data, and tried on both mobile data + wifi, and it didn't change that there was a throttle time it wanted me to wait for. So, I waited for the time it asked me to, and indeed it did then work, and I redeemed it for a year of Perplexity. Thanks again, I had scoured the web a couple months ago looking for a Perplexity deal and failed to find anything. Cheers. :)

    1. For user who can't login after putting in email verification code : reinstall the app and try login again.

    2. For user who got error message after the scratch card: wait for the time stated and retry, it worked for me after that

    Works like charm.

    I was using perplexity for quite sometime and free pro license is super cool.

    We need a active credit card to register (it auto-renew after one year).Tried with Prezzy card and didn't work.

      Glad it worked but you shouldn’t need any credit card to sign up.
      I simply used a new gmail address and applied the code provided.

        I already had a free account and tried to use the same. It also forced me to use the dekstop site and not through the android app.

      I canceled the subscription and it allows you to keep using the product for the initial year.

    Getting an error after the scratch card saying I didn't win anything and to try again. There's no timer as other comments suggest. I will wait 30 minutes and give it another go - will report back.

      Tried again 48 mins later, still getting the same "you didn't win this time" error after scratching the card. I give up here - good luck to anyone else trying it and thanks for sharing.

    Have tried at least 10 times at the scratchie, turned off Wi-Fi, filled in profile, cleared cache, waited for hourly reset and still getting the same error "Uh oh! Seems like there's an issue"

    Now it requires 3000heart points to redeem perplexity pro. Only 300 heart points given as party of the promotion. The offer essentially ended.
