Seems like a solid windows laptop for the price. Should have a really good battery life as well due to the Snapdragon processor.

So almost 1400 for a snapdragon laptop? Steep

    • Which is far cheaper than any of the other ones listing locally?

  • could probably fly there, claim TRS and take it back with you as personal concession and still be better off getting it shipped here lol

  • that's not too bad.

After fluffing around with arm macbooks for four or so years, it's not amazing going back to windows laptops!

  • I think someone changed the title, on my screen it says NZD1,070.00 but maybe it'd different for others

Can people tell me what they see?

You have $1.2k of gift certificates? lol

        • I know right, I had about 7k in aus/usd gift card credit at one point..

Some promo/competitions I enter/win pay prizes in amazon gift cards so it always builds up. Hard to find deals where I'm not losing 10-15% of the value reselling what I import given the computer gear etc has no local warranty.

          • @Dunno: Damn very fortunate, wish i had that kinda luck

Noel Leeming currently has this model with an upgraded QHD+ screen that also supports touch, $1749 with a bonus $250 gift card, so essentially $1499 with a local warranty and upgraded screen.

  • Just buy the AMD 14 thinkpad lenovo that is selling for $1,229.00 on the lenovo store. you get slightly worse ram and a worse battery life for a much better processor. But by far the biggest gain you get is you are covered by the CGA in a NZ store. So you get what is essentially a 5 year warranty unlike the amazon au store where if the laptop breaks you are outta luck.

    • This, you can get Idealpad with Ryzen 5/7 and OLED screen for cheaper
However check shipping timeline, there have been reports of delay or some models

Dell official store have similar priced offering for about the same price without discount.

  • From wikipedia:
The Dell Inspiron series is a line of laptop computers made by American company Dell under the Dell Inspiron branding. The first Inspiron laptop model was introduced before 1999.[1] Unlike the Dell Latitude line, which is aimed mostly at business/enterprise markets, Inspiron is a consumer-oriented line, often marketed towards individual customers as computers for everyday use.

Dell inspiron seems a cheap series but I don't recommend them.
The cpu, ssd and RAM might look good however there is more to slowdown the performance to make the inspirons rubbish.

Worth to pay a bit more to get Dell latitude or even a used Dell Precision.
