  Got a Google Cardboard when the plans were released originally, had a play around with them then, but nothing really worthwhile, just a few demos. Seems to have come a long way since then, nice price for a sturdy looking product.

  I have one of these. theyre pretty good for the money.
  only issue i have had is the suction cups that hold the phone in place dont work well for a lot of phones - like my s5 with nobbly back plate or G4 with leather backs etc - anything with a glass back like s6/note 5 etc is absolutely perfect though.

    What about adding one of those sticky gel mats they sell for sticking phones to your car dashboard etc.? Seem to be cheap and presumably could cut to size. Assuming there was sufficient clearance for the thickness of the mat.
