But still a New Zealand company owned and run by New Zealand people who are taking on global giants?

      • +8

Far right billionaire stealing IP and manufacturing dangerous rubbish in China, whilst suing Glassdoor to expose identities of past employees? It’s not for me

      • +3

Yeah but your money is going to someone who thinks that minority groups are genetically inferior to white people.

I saw someone on Reddit state that Nick's views were a shame because Nood is the only brand their picky dog will eat. I've got no issues if that person keeps buying it 'cause at the end of the day it's still a good product and their dog comes first of course.

There's also the issue of how Zuru sued Glassdoor and forced them to disclose the identities of ex-employees who had left negative reviews of the working conditions.

Please explain why this is a bad thing.
You cant expect all industries to be Made in NZ

      • It's mostly due to Nick Mowbray openly believing white people are genetically superior to other races.

I usually have a pretty high bar for boycotting companies and don't wish ill on the good people working at those brands, but I just don't want my money going to people like him. There's other Kiwi brands who deserve it.

While the guy is undoubtedly a total chode, I doubt there's any profit happening at the above price so its not like boycotting would do much in this particular instance.

    • I agree. I knew nothing about the background of the company before I posted this deal. But now I still wouldn't mind spending $5 on this product if I had a dog. They're not likely making any money if not losing money at that price.

  • Are you sure there's stock? I couldn't find any instore.

    • If you could get the staff to confirm this, I'll expire the deal.

The staff hadn't restocked the shelf before closing. The stock was discounted because BB is 21 March 2025.

There were 4 bags on the shelf this morning

      • They were all gone by lunchtime. Customer Desk advised there's no more.

        • There's some on the shelf right now. I just got 10 bags click n collect

  • Be interesting to see what happens with my click and collect order today
