  • I think you need to associate a deal else its a forum post?

Interesting that it includes apple products.

Anyone know if there any way to get these deals without going directly to the store? I wonder if we can get a local store to price match that store, or if we can order online from this store.

    • I mean if you think about it objectively it is a celebration of a new physical store opening so why should there be any way of getting this deal other than.. physically visiting the store?

      • I agree that this is the intended sentiment of the promotion. I've had some great deals before through price matching or by asking customer support directly for exemptions, and was curious if anyone else has done this with JBHIFI.

Sometimes asking nicely but i suspect they wont in this case being an actual loss leader given it is right next to HN and really not far from NL they will be fighting for business and retention.

It's been a long time since I worked in retail, but generally Apple hardware has super low margins (1-2%).
Sometimes apple is excluded from interest-free deals, usually because the finance company takes a percentage of the overall sale from the retailer, which can be higher than the 1-2% margins they make on the hardware.

Been in a couple of times and found the Porirua store to be quite small. I mean the former Torpedo7 store before it was or seemed way bigger. Still, good to have the retail option there.

    • The didn't take the whole former Torpedo 7 site, I think The Baby Factory has the other bit.

Whats that mean when they say Cost + GST? Is that the lowers price you can get from them or?

I went tonight to have a look and I can confirm the geekzone forum info that wakrak shared. Some things were cheaper than normal (accessories) but most were more expensive than deals u see on cheapies. Eg, Sonx wxm4 headphones $340, iphone 16e $1.1k, S24 $1.1k. I dont remember what else I saw. Some older vinyls were ~30-40% off so I was happy.
