OLED Monitors: AOC 34" Argon AG346UCD $1,250, Dell ALIENWARE AW3423DWF 34" Monitor $1,499 & More @ PB Tech

I am waiting for a $1000 price point on a 34" WQHD OLED and may still be waiting a long time…
But these deals are decent IMO. I would bite the bullet if I didn't feel so poor right now.

So

The cheapest of the lot is that AOC from the title. Favourable recent review of this very model https://www.tomshardware.com/monitors/aoc-agon-pro-ag346ucd-…

Several options at a higher $1,499 price point including

Alienware

Samsung G8

LG. This one is G-Sync compatible

imo wait for the next batch of ridiculous Samsung monitor deals. They had 27" 240Hz 1440p OLEDs for under $600 last time, so hopefully you should be able to snag 34" for under $1000 next time depending on model availability and coupon stacking mechanics.

Did you mean this one? It's not OLED though https://www.cheapies.nz/node/50623
I find it hard to believe OLED drops that low.

      • As far as I'm aware OLED monitors haven't broken the $1000 barrier in NZ. You can probaly import one for less than $1000 though, I know Aussie retailers come close

        • Aussie retailers have gotten under $1k AUD a few times, but I've never seen anything else close to the Samsung deal.

        • Massive Kogan OLED was sub-1000 fairly recently https://www.cheapies.nz/node/50014

          • @felixfurtak: This was a good deal.
The only thing I swore not to buy anything from kogan again. You have better luck getting responses from AliExpress sellers than from kogan. So I treat them same as AliExpress - only buy if you are happy to loose this sum of money.
And a grand is too much in my books…

        No, this monitor: https://www.samsung.com/nz/monitors/gaming/odyssey-oled-g6-g…

I have one on my desk right now - paid $674.46 - $100 AMEX cashback direct from Samsung NZ. You may remember the influx of posts about coupon stacking for phones around that time - a lot of the same tricks worked on vacuum cleaners, monitors, and some other gadgets.

        • Nice work! I just bought that for $1070 imported from AUS. I wish I paid attention to what those coupons could be used on

    • I can't believe i missed out on this, can you remember which month they had this?

Samsung is having upto 40% flash sale on Monitors today.
    27" Odyssey G7 - $714.35
    34" ViewFinity S5 - $349.50

They sell that G8 OLED for $1,609 - $110 cheaper at PB Tech

    • Where is this?

      • Samsung NZ.

    • Looks like the price has gone up on G7, it's $824.25 right now unless you are using a promo code

  • I almost purchased this LG monitor last month for 100 bucks more.

Happens I now put the money to savings and I’m poor again. It has a really good review.

I spent so much on a new setup and now I’m trying to convince myself my shit IPS is good enough. :( adulting is hard

  • The Alienware is often cheaper through Dell themselves, especially with 8% student discount if you're willing to wait for their discounted price when it pops up again. Normally around 1350-1400.

  • According to an email I got, Samsung is unveiling their 2025 Odyssey Line on 7th April. They are running a similar $20 voucher to get $100 off(samsung.com) promotion as they did with their phones. If you can wait you might be able to stack discount codes/trade in boosts etc.
