Torpedo 7 is closing down 2 stores and converting 10 to a new retail offering "The Outlet".

6 stores (at the above link) will remain Torpedo7, so no closing down sale for them.

While discounts do not cover the entire online store, there is a decent range. 50% off Torpedo7 branded products seems to cover the online store, and there is 30% off select items (i.e. Solomon hiking boots).

And as an example deal, the below 4 bike channel style rack with tail lights is discounted from $600 to $300. I have this product purchased at a higher price, and while a wider spacing between the bikes would be ideal, it functions well for our needs. 50mm towball required.

    I saw this post on FB the other day of a T7 gazebo on sale 50% off for $250, down from $499.99. The $499.99 sticker didn't even cover the $319.99 original price. https://files.cheapies.nz/upload/6863/5457/486965180_1023559…

    Someone posted a screenshot from google of the gazebo on sale for $255.99, down from $319.99 back in November 2024.

    Seems like they raised the price just to be able to say 50% off but wanting to sell it for 50% off the original price.

    Wonder what else they have done this on.

      Yeah, look through quite a bit of stuff and most seem to have been inflated if you compare prices to hyper ride, for instance, which are similar pieces of Chinese land full.

      I really struggle to see how this does not contravene the fair trading act. You're not allowed to increase prices to then discount to create the illusion of a bigger discount.

      They should be reported. Might do it myself if i can find the time at night.

      On 2nd Feb it was $320, so they have done this on purpose.

      Should scrape the $499 sticker off and take it up, when they scan it for $250 point out the $320 label and the 50% off Torpedo7 and be like, "Uhhh, shouldn't it be $160?"

    As a data point, paid $175 for the Apex bike rack nearly 3 years ago during a normal sale, with 50% it's coming to $175 again - this sale definitely isn't special. Greedy till the last day!
