LDV E-Deliver 3 $24,880 + $1,790 ORC (RRP $59,990) @ LDV Auckland South

101

I think this is the best deal in the auto market at the moment. A 905kg payload electric cargo van for the same (pre-ORC) Price as a current gen base Suzuki swift manual…

I messaged the dealer, and they advise that they can fill orders of any size, so no issues on quantity here. (and offered to waive ORC's for me on orders of 3+ vans that are made this month).

Same dealer has at least one 2025 new, but already registered van asking $24,880 (incl ORC).

And a wellington dealer is advertising new vans within $100 of this the title price:

A Christchurch dealer has an ex demo (300km only) at $24,990:

Possible that other LDV dealers will negotiate to this price also.

Details on the van will be the same as when it was last posted at $30k.

    Starts local courier business.

Looks like a reasonable price for starter home for NZ.

  • Can I transport kids in this? Asking for a friend

Only if you don't like the kids.

    • It's a 2 seat van.

They'll negotiate hard as most people know you get what you pay for. Most, there will still be some that get sucked in only to regret it later.

Either you haven't had a good look under these or you work for LDV to keep promoting them. I've seen photos that truely shocked me as to the build quality (NZ landed ones). To anyone wanting to buy one, at least have a proper look at the underside…

You can look under here in this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0gmvl9KEOc
If you know anything about cars and build quality, alarm bells will start ringing.

I'll take the base model swift every time. You can't compare vehicles based on just price.

I saw a youtube short the other day where the whole steering wheel sheered off the van (not this model, it didn't show, same brand though). They pulled themselves into the van, as you do, holding the wheel and it just broke the casting. No warranty because abuse and if you want new parts, months wait.

EDIT, I was wrong, it was tiktok (must have been linked to me by a mate) and it's Australia, so maybe stock levels will be better in NZ if you snap your steering wheel off.

Thanks for sharing - was not in the market but had no idea

    • I have no idea about car construction, but that video that shows the underside made me think our homemade boat trailer looks more robust :D
Looks nice enough from the outside though (for a van and all)….like I said, I know nothing, and also have nothing to compare it against but yeah - interesting. Thanks for the post.

  • Well those Trump tariffs are real depressing the Chinese vehicle market aren't they…

    Just a word of caution, "quality" isn't a top 10 priority. https://autoexpert.com.au/posts/dont-buy-warning-why-owning-…

    • The US had big tariff's on EV's under the prior administration, So much so that the only china build EV's sold in the US was polestar & a volvo model.

Any changes made my trump have not impacted SAIC as they did not sell into the US market prior.
