Caffe Astoria celebrates its 20th birthday tomorrow. Owners Janice Kirkwood and Sue Dempsey met in London inthelate1980s, and in 1996 opened Astoria in Wellington The cafe has served almost nine million cups of coffee and gone through 2.75 million eggs. The cafe is celebrating till January 29 by offering an "Astoria Classics" menu, featuring some favourite recipes from the past 20 years and free coffee hours at random times throughout the week.
