  • The BLACKCAPS take on Australia today

Don't think you'd want to use it for this match…

  • Looks like there is a Breakers match on Sky Sport 2 tonight that this pass would get you access to:

SKY Sport brings you LIVE coverage of the NBL - Australasia's premier basketball league.
Join us as the NZ Breakers take on Melbourne United at the North Shore Events Centre in Auckland.

  • Jesus, $14.99 for one days access?! Sky has lost it.

    • I saw them advertising it the other day for ~$50/Month.

    • Yep, it's like Igloo where they launched a service to appear competitive/open but actually have no interest and priced it out of peoples budgets.

They do have a decent direct offer which you won't see on their website etc

      '$48.99 i get Basic+MySky+Sport+HD'

      • That's almost worth it's own deal post? Wouldn't that normally cost $80+.

        • Yes, I've been tempted to post that as a deal. We pay around $80 per month for my sky, basic, sport and HD. Would be another $15 per month if we hadn't bought our mysky outright. To get the deal mentioned above you need to call 0800 475 988. You get free installation with that deal as well, and the price lasts for 12 months, but you can cancel after 6 months.

        • @Sam91:

Feel free to post it, it seems like a pretty good price. I assume it's for new customers only though?

        • @Shaw:

Yes I believe so, otherwise we'd be cancelling and signing up again : )

I won't bother posting the deal, someone definitely should though.

        • @Sam91:

iirc it's a 2 month stand down period after leaving SKY then you can signup and take the new offer, so if you can go that long without then it's worth the savings for the following 12 months.

        • @Teckiwi:

Or sign up in someone elses name?

        • @Shaw: Wouldn't they monitor by address? Although don't you only need the card and a receiver and it would work anywhere with a sky dish?

        • @Toddy47:

          Maybe and yes.

I know of situations where multiple accounts have been at a single address, so I don't imagine they could decline it on that basis, and yes, you can just grab the decoder and card and put it anywhere.

        • @Toddy47: They seem to be fine with your 'flatmate' signing up after you cancel. If you get questioned just say you were annoyed that they canceled it, so now you are signing up.

    • $25 for the series seems alright.

  • Thanks for this. I'm an Aussie struggling to find a decent HD stream. Two have been taken down this morning due to copyright infringement. Unfortunately I think my VPN to NZ isn't solid enough to stream reliably.

    • Not going to go into too much detail, but Reddit might help.
