Can some elinghten me on how this is a deal? Like in layman's terms. I see everyone saying it's a bargain etc. How doe it compare with other monitors and why this is good for value please. I'm not as super tech savy, i have read the ozbargain comments and reddits but I feel like im missing something. Thanks
Also, is it a deal for NZ at 202 vs 149 in Aus?

It's just a decent price for a name brand, 1440p resolution high refresh rate monitor. Only monitors I've seen at this price that are similar are kogan ones that can only do half the refresh rate or ones that's are only HD and won't look as nice.

If you want a decent resolution, size, refresh rate from a known brand this is a good deal. A Samsung with this sort of spec is more like $350.

Not sure why I got a negative vote? Just a genuine question on a topic i have no knowledge on?

Some people be like that, just ignore it

Valid question and glad you asked. Some people on their high horses need to relax, this isn't Reddit. Ignore them.

Do I really need this? Must stop this urge…

  • You all tempted me. I was skeptical at 1440p vs 4k on 27" but I've been convinced at this price. Got one, thanks folks! I currently have a 2019 LG FHD with 75hz that I use for programming so hopefully this one is a tad better

Same. I have Philips 273v IPS FHD and this seems good for QHD. 4k is not worth it for 27" and programming or normal use. Hopefully I am not disappointed.

      • 4K at 32 inch is good but man it's overwhelming having that height and width combined. Work got us 2 32 inch curved screens and I struggle with 50% of the second screen going largely unused. I got a 34 inch ultra wide at home and it's great, it's paired with a 24 inch and thinking to upgrade that to this deal but use wise that's my limit I think. Something about the UW and side is just nicer to size the windows effectively with how I use them that means the side one is easier to use.

        • That's true. I have 27 and 32" 4k which is scaled up. Can't work with 2 32. It's just not for me. Also laptop screen is already there so it is not good for neck as well. Just too much real estate to cover.

          • @ace310: I don't use the laptop screen at all, they gave us an arm for it and the monitors are so damn big the laptop arm can't fit around them, and the bottom doesn't clear the desk enough to squeeze it down there. The biggest issue is the dell docks don't have the bandwidth to drive 2 4k monitors and gigabit ethernet, most users don't care but we worked out a couple of pieces of software really take a performance hit compared to plugging the Ethernet in to the laptop.
