  • Being 55 inch should at least have 100hz refresh rate. Not worth it

    • Not sure what relation refresh rate has with size.

"To prove that a 120Hz TV does not reduce motion blur in movies, we filmed - in slow motion - a 60Hz TV next to a 120Hz TV, both displaying a 24p Blu-ray movie. As you can see, the amount of blur is exactly the same."

So unless you are looking for soap opera effect or using as a PC monitor it shouldn't make much difference.

  • These cheap tvs are good when you pair them with a chromecast. But dang that contrast ratio is so low!!!

  • @Toddy47:

I got an email this morning with a 32" TV deal from The Warehouse: Veon 32" HD LED-LCD TV for $249. It is part of their "Massive Two Day Sale", so only available until tomorrow.

If this is a good deal, you might like to post it on the site.

    Cheers, Mark.

    • Thanks for the tip Mark, I'll add it to the post, but do note it is 720P not 1080P which may not be favorable to those who sit close to the TV.

    • It's the lowest price ever in the last 12 months, looking at PriceMe.
