    The available free games are:

    • Halo 5
    • Forza 6
    • Rare Replay
    • Gears of War UE
    • Rise Of The Tomb Raider

That's a really good range of options (Subtracting Rare Replay).

Both refurbished bundles come with a single controller and a chat headset.

Remember that these only come with a 90-day limited warranty. If you're OK with the limited warranty, it's a hard to beat bargain.

    • Also on the Kinect bundle, it states that that bundle also comes with "download codes for Ryse: Son of Rome and Dance Central Spotlight"

Dance central usually comes with all Kinect bundles AFAIK and isn't nearly as good as the Just Dance series, but Ryse is a decent game.

      • Kinect is pretty much dead as a platform, and the existing games are somewhat poor.

        • Yes I agree, and wouldn't recommend the Kinect bundles personally. I do have a Kinect though and the Just Dance games can be a lot of fun with other people, I'm sure it's worth it for some.

  • $249 Xbox if you want to sell the games. Great deal!

    • Great if you want a second console to game share with.

  • What games have the highest chance of resale here?

Thoughts on refurb? Does that mean it failed and was repaired, or other?

I do remember reading that often refurb can be genuinely good, as it's been looked over and brought up to speed prior to resale.

90 days doesn't appear that they stand by their repairs particularly well.

*This product has been refurbished to its original specifications for electrical performance by Microsoft. Unit may contain cosmetic imperfections. 90-Day Limited Warranty. See Limited Warranty inside or at http://www.xbox.com/warranty or details. New Xbox One systems and accessories may be covered by a longer Limited Warranty, but it does not apply to refurbished systems or accessories.

    • Sold Halo 5 (used) $55 last week, Forza 6 should also be worth more than $50 as with ROTTR but it may be the harder title to sell.

    • Halo 5, Rise Of The Tomb Raider & Forza 6 for the best resale value.

Gears of War UE and Rare Replay are cheap in comparison, not to mention the Gears of War UE population is already low on the Australasian servers. Rare replay also isn't the sort of game that appeals to a lot of people anyway.

Have a look at expired listings on TradeMe for an indication of resale value. That or you could probably trade them in for a new game cheap.

      • Good point.

Am after Xbox One or PS4 for Just Cause 4 and that new Star Wars one. Neither of which play on PS3.

Also the Xbox One has IR sensor and is compatible with the Harmony remote system.
The PS4 most definitely isn't with regards to even being able to turn it on directly.

        • Star Wars Battlefront and Just Cause 4 are similarly priced to the Halo 5/Forza 6/Tomb Raider games, wouldn't be hard to resell and purchase or straight trade.

Before jumping in with an XB1/PS4 you should probably consider:

          • Which consoles do your friends own/play?
          • Which consoles exclusives are you most interested in?
        • Star Wars Battlefront Xbox One - $62

          Or $40 - $55 on TradeMe

        • +1

@Sam91: Also Battlefront has been $30USD on Xbox marketplace a few times.

        • Go ps4.

        • @gregclarke:

I fully integrate my PS3 into my setup via harmony remote.

I can't do this via PS4 so Sony have lost a customer there. (Am not interested in commands via hdmi, as these are turned off for the harmony setup)

        • @Jaxson: yikes

  • Is the deal working for everyone? For some reason when I add it to my card it goes back to $499

    • It's currently bugged. I talked to customer support and they told me it's a bug. Come back in an hour or 2.

  • Are the games on disc on downloads?

    • Physical discs. When you get to checkout click on the games and it will redirect you to the original product page, which is for a physical copy.

  • Op deserves a medal for this

  • Was thinking, even though the warranty is only 90 days because it is refurbished, under the consumer guarantees act you still should be covered for a longer period.

    • Yeah not so sure about this. It's basically second hand and the advertising and price reflects this.

      • Second hand goods are covered, and the fact it is supposed to be refurbished to a near new standard by having electrical components checked, tested etc, means its "reasonable life" should be much longer than 3 months. Plus the price is still close to new (especially when it is not on sale and selling for $499).

Thanks again OP. I ordered 2 but one got canceled due to stock availability, therefore they have given me a $150 store credit to make up for it! And I used the store credit for 2 xbox one controllers, coming to a total of $16 for both!!
