Price is better at Harvey Norman, only $99.00

      $5 off code works too

    • Have updated to reflect this price and coupon.

      • What's the deal with this coupon? I thought it was a one time thing for new customers?

Its meant to be, but try it. If it doesn't work just make a new account. I have about 10 :)

  • Anyone actually used these?

I got the Sony Bluetooth noise cancelling ones recently, but their bass response isn't great and their noise cancelling option is pretty poor also.

their noise cancelling option is pretty poor also.

Really? I got the same ones and can completely zone out when wearing them. Have had plenty of people talk to me and not hear a thing at all. Can't recall hearing much ambient noise at all.

      • Yeah mine are average at best. They say they have 3 different modes, but there's no option to actively pick one yourself, other than do the hold the button down for 3 seconds which forces it to re evaluate the mode. Well that's I've seen.

How is your bass response? With noise cancelling on mine are rubbish.

I'd have to test them out, don't listen to the bassist music, or I'll be listening while doing things, just as background noise, so not really paying attention. Will give them a spin tonight.

        • @Shaw: Shaw's racist about the bassist……..?

        • @Jay:

          Ha, could be.

        • I tried them on the car journey back yesterday, and it seems that pressing the "NC" button turns the feature on and off.

It made a huge difference with the setting on than it did off.

The bass is really, really bad though. Doesn't bother me too much, but it is terrible.

      • I believe its average too - I meant the noise cancellation. But Shaw, how loud do you put your music up? When you mention you can't hear other people speaking to you, was that on idle or with music playing?

        • I'm wondering these Sennheiser Urbanites vs Sony…

  • Interesting - Noel Leeming have adjusted their price and now are $98, must be actively monitoring prices with competition. HN price still better though with free deliver and welcome coupon.

    • Not monitoring cheapies.nz unfortunately!

      • I've actually just found out that the coupon code "FREE6DELIVERY" still works on NL, so it's $98 shipped with coupon at Noel Leeming if Harvey run out of stock.

        • Thanks for this, I've edited it in.

  • HN just rang, they are sending me a store demo model
    I ordered at 1.30

Do you really want a store demo? I'm imagining it's the ones that everyone tries on before purchasing which would put me right off. Noel Leeming price matched Harvey Norman so if they have stock might be a better option.

  • The harvey norman link isnt working

I've edited the deal and unexpired it, in case anyone's feeling a bit purple.

  • Both sold out now.

Just went and tried my older SNHD202-IIs vs the newer Sony Bluetooth jobs and the bass is much better on the 202s (not in a duf duf way, but present and smooth) on say Aretha's Natural Woman start.

Might check in store for any left over Sennheiser Urbaniteis and sell those Sony's…

  • Out of stock in store in Palmerston North too

  • If anyone receives theirs and doesn't like them, and would like to swap for the recent Sony Bluetooth noise cancelling deal, then please let me know.

I've used my Sony's a few times on the bus to work, and honestly prefer the sound of my basic $60 Sennheiser 202s.

Your results/requirements may vary to mine.
