Given imation doesn't manufacturer drives, It'll be a Toshiba, Seagate, Hitachi or WD drive inside it. Look it up for that model to find out.
Fair point. Vaguely remember somebody mentioning it previously when discussing merits of different providers. Personally prefer WD, as have had several failed Seagate drives.
Agree. I wouldn't take a chance on others now, given the price is similar really to other brands.
Toddy47 told me last month to not buy this Imation drive, as it has a high rate of failure. The reputation for Imation Portable Hard Drives seems to be very bad.
