Milk & Bread - Where to get the best deal?

Where is the cheapest place to get milk and bread in NZ?

I buy from The Warehouse in Wellington 2 x 2L bottles for $6.60. ($1.75 per litre)

and bread was $1 at my local New World, but now they have increased price to $1.40.

My household goes through a fair bit of milk so trying to save every cent helps - also we are used to Australian milk being $1.00AUD per litre.

I'm pretty sure PAK 'n SAVE and Countdown still have their $1 bread.

Milk was $1/L for a period of time a few months ago, but has since gone back up. I've actually started buying powdered milk, and save a fortune doing that as it doesn't have to be used before it expires, but that's just me drinking it.

Mad Butcher offer it for $1/L but with a catch:

I guess for a ~$3 saving, it would give a pretty good price on some meat.
