We want to see what Anzac Day means to you
Anzac Day began to take shape in the midst of the First World War, as New Zealand marked the first anniversary of the Gallipoli landings on 25 April 1915. Within a few years core elements of the day – including the structure of memorial services – were set and the Anzac story and sacredness of the commemoration became enshrined.
100 years later we want New Zealanders to think about what Anzac Day means to them now so we can build a picture of Anzac Day 2016. Whatever you do on 25 April, be it getting involved in your local community’s Anzac Day activities, or enjoying taking time away from work or study - grab your camera, smartphone or tablet, take a photo and share it with us!
What to do
Take a photo on Anzac Day (Monday 25 April) 2016 that expresses what Anzac Day means to you as a contemporary New Zealander, and in 25 words or less add a caption or title that provides some context and explanation of your photo.
Entering the competiton
To enter you need to:
Make sure your photo has a caption (25 word maximum) attached explaining what Anzac Day means to you
Ensure your photo is clear

There are three options for how you can enter your photo:

Then what happens?
Photos will be added to an album, which will be available on the WW100 Facebook page. From the album two major winners will be selected: the People’s Choice winner and Judges' Choice winner (as well as runners up)
People’s Choice
This winner will be determined by which photo receives the most likes in our Facebook album by 6 May 2016, so everyone will have the opportunity to vote on your favourite photo by liking it.
Judges' Choice
This winner will be determined by a panel of Judges' vote. The WW100 Office will select a shortlist of photos to be judged by the panel (the WW100 Director's decision is final). The photo earning the largest number of points will win Judges' Choice, with two runners up also receiving prizes.
On Wednesday 12 May 2016 we will announce the winners.
