tl;dr - two dairies on opposite sides of the road in Aro Valley, Wellington are selling $1 pies and $1 330ml cans from the Coca-Cola ("Coke") range.
Aro Valley Mini Mart: $1 IRVINE'S pies, the Coke range also appears to be broader including Coke Life. Irvine's pies seem on the smaller side with a fairly meagre meat content. Flavour choices also appear to be more limited, with the Vegetable pie being especially dominant. Pastry tends to be quite soft.
Patel's Superette: $1 MONTY'S pies and a slightly less extensive Coke range. Monty's pies seem somewhat fuller than Irvine's, although the top layer of pastry is often very flaky. Some variety of flavour, including a chilli one.
Fun fact: Monty's pies are made by Tulsi.
Happy eating!
Monty's pies include: Minced Beef and Peas, Steak and Cheese, Spinach and Feta, Chilli Beef and Cheese, Mince and Cheese and Steak.
The Irvines range includes: Steak and Cheese, Mince and Cheese, Chicken and Vegetable, Bacon and Egg and Mince.
