Wow, that's an awesome price! I wonder why Auckland to Melbourne price are $50 more? Is it the higher airport tax as compared to Welly?
Competition maybe, I think it's a new route for Jetstar (The 7am time slot), so it looked like a promotional price the other day when I was looking at it, but didn't change before this sale, so the two together work well.
These sales are always really lame for people who can't be flexible with holidays… =(
The people who can be flexible with holidays are the only reason these sales exist really. If they had constant near capacity all year round, they'd have no need to drop their prices.
Also available is Wellington to Melbourne for $139 return.
Just booked those tickets with 2 x 25KG bags on the return leg for $382, so under $200 each return.
