Wonder why it is only in Auckland. Maybe they are feeling sorry for Aucklanders who have higher housing costs.

  I bought one of those 2 for $5 deals the other night and gave one burger to a homeless guy. A while back when lightbox were giving a Maccas share box away with every trial, I gave a voucher to a homeless guy.
  
  I think it's most likely an offer targeted at students. I've only seen it advertised at my Uni. The placement of it is interesting, it's right outside the gym : )
