      He's got fast fingers, I can never beat him either. Not that I even knew about this one, but it's happened plenty of times.

      • Will need to write a script and automate this process!

  • with countdown now using BP as their fuel partner, can you use your supermarket voucher on top of this?

      AA Smartfuel cannot be used in conjunction with BP Fuelcard or Countdown Discount Fuel Vouchers.

        Thanks for clarifying that Mark, that's pretty ridiculous… I was under the impression Countdown were joining the AA program.

        • They have joined AA Smartfuel, hence why you can redeem your Countdown fuel dockets at BP and Caltex stations.

          AA Smartfuel managing director Scott Fitchett says the business is looking forward to its cardholders being able to earn AA Smartfuel discounts at Countdown later in the year.

          And the Caltex website sums it up well…

          Even though it's thanks to our partnership with AA Smartfuel that we’re now accepting Countdown fuel vouchers, AA Smartfuel and Countdown fuel vouchers cannot be used in conjunction with one another so you’ll need to choose which savings programme suits you best.

          This applies at all times, not just when there is a higher AA Smartfuel discount on offer at BP or Caltex.

        • @Mark Wasley:

          So, from the first quote, accumulating discounts from the supermarket is something that is being added at some point in the future? Maybe Countdown need to adapt their POS system to accept it.

        • @Shaw: Yes, that's correct. They should be implementing that soon as there's only four months of the year left now.

          @Mark Wasley:

          Sweet, makes sense. Hopefully it's live for the cheaper summer petrol prices.
