I was going to post in the Birthday thread, but then realised there doesn't seem to be a birthday thread with all the birthday related deals (today is my bday)

Site idea. Store members birthdays. Send them a reminder email 2 weeks and 3 days before birthday reminding them to sign up to birthday freebie deals.
Most stores/shops instigate marketing ideas because someone (overpaid) told them to. So they do it without any real understanding about what they are trying to achieve. Not surprisingly, marketing campaigns sometimes reduce (after an initial jump) customer approval etc..
Grabone is a great example of this. Grabone takes 50% straight off the top of every sale. If it is 50% off deal, it reduces the store's income to 25% which is nearly always below cost. They take a loss with every sale.
So you'd think they try extra hard to provide an amazing service, to maximise return customers. Yet so often, you get service or a product you don't really like, but it's cheap. Makes you even more certain that you wouldn't possibly pay full price for it. Owners, grumpy at the loss, sometimes treat their discounted customers like shit. Which, any way you cut it, is really dumb.
So great ideas with the birthday reminders. Trouble is, the folk who make these decisions in a company/franchise are often far removed from the reality of front-of-house customer service interaction. And visa versa!
Little India sends me a $20 voucher on my birthday, doesn't say it on here https://littleindia.eftplus.co.nz/about though, so maybe I'm just extra special. How can that be added to the birthday deal wiki?

To add it to the wiki, visit the page and click edit top right, then follow the formatting on the National table, adding the required details and steps.
Is it only valid on your birthday?
