  • How is it so these coupons are being produced on a weekly basis? I wonder if the franchisees make any money.

    • Dominoes head office is doing very well, saw this article the other day, their market share of the overall 'fast food' market has gone up as well as their profits. However not sure if this would be reflected in the franchises themselves.

I'm guessing the head office actually benefits from larger volume of pizzas depending how the franchise % fee works. Hence the coupons and discounts increase their profits for head office possibly at the expense of the franchises themselves.

      • Dominos take 20% from each sale PLUS franchise fees. Most franchisees I've spoken to work 70+hrs per week… You basically pay $500k to have a job, then pray that after a few years of working slave labour your franchise will be worth more than what you purchased it for….

That having said, I'm interested to try the new DRONE DELIVERY SYSTEM LOL

    • There is also a "fight" going on between franchisor and franchisee at Nando's across the Tasman

  • I know a Dominos franchisee who was removed as franchisee. They bought back at 40% discount from what he purchased at including stock at 40% off.

Apparently he was unable to get the loan for the business, but they helped him with that… So hes basically bankrupt now.

    • So they basically terminated his contract and then gave him 60% back for what he had purchased?

      • Pretty much. It was his fault for violating the terms and conditions of his contract (very minor issue), but still its a lot of money.
