And yet you've never posted any deals from NL, or anywhere. Nor have you ever clicked the 'I am associated with Noel Leeming' field. In fact, looking back, most of your comments have been negative or ridiculing.
And why should I? I'd suspect 90% of the users here don't post anything.
Most of the comments on the internet are pretty stupid, so what do you expect?
Common sense is not so common. And just because I work there doesn't mean I'm "associated" with them.

Seriously, you could work just about anywhere and get significant discount, it's insane.
you misunderstand, It's still cost + 9% so if it's sold at a "huge margin" as you say then there will be a "huge discount", the items that will have a poor discount are the items that have a low margin, or the items that have a lot of rebates etc. Also I think the "cost price" reflects cost of a single item without their bulk buy discount. Not really fair on the shop to compare to amazon prices, the cost can be higher because of gst, fair trading act, local warranty, distributor charge, cga support, repairs, etc.
It's a tough market. People are generally absolutely clueless about how much money is in it.
I'm surprised sometimes how it makes enough money to stay afloat factoring in rent, wages and power alone..
Cost price + X% deals are good for some items with high margins, eg. AV furniture, speaker stands. It's also a lot cheaper for cables etc, however you can get this stuff online for even cheaper.
Can't beat the convenience of walking in and grabbing it though (provided it's in stock)
Plus you got somewhere to go back to.
Jeez cost + 9%, or in other words items we normally sell at a huge margin, slightly cheaper? It's funny when their cost plus gst is normally more than buying from Amazon + shipping to NZ for a single item, let along in bulk.
