some canon ones from jb hifi, noel and harvey norman. Any specifically good deal though?
Buget mid range orhigh end?pb has a good deal on a 6d. Older but goody. Harvey normans is selling the mirrorless alpha 5100 for 880. Good deals come up every so ofyen on buget camera, i picked up a d3300 slk for 505 after discount a few days ago
mid and high both. gotta buy 3 cameras but i don't see any great deals so far
I didn't see any "special" deals on DSLR or lenses this year. I usually don't bother buying camera gears in NZ, it's too expensive compared to how much I can get them for in Australia (low rate of exchange and their gst refund at airport). I go back and forth from Oz to NZ quite often, so makes more sense for me to get camera gear there than here. If you're stuck in NZ, I would not bother with Nikon cameras at all, high mark up by the supplier (only 1 distributor here in NZ). For example, D3300 in Oz was $324 after cashback and comes with $50 Eftpos card recently, while most ppl in NZ would be happy with ~$500 mark
My suggestion, look out for Canon 700D or 750D if you're new to photography.
Fyi - I shoot both Nikon Full Frame (D750) and APS-C (D5500) - both purchased in Oz
