The Sony Xperia Z is a touchscreen enabled, HD Android smartphone designed, developed, and marketed by Sony Mobile. The phone was announced by Sony at CES 2013. The Xperia Z will be released with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean. The phone is set for a global release in the first quarter, 2013. The official UK release date is 28 February 2013. The phone also has a variant called the Xperia ZL that uses the same hardware, but the case is not water resistant and it has a camera button.
