For those confused about all the different earphones Xiaomi sells, here they are from cheapest to most expensive:
Mi In-Ear Headphones Basic (3rd generation/current), AKA Fresh, AKA Basic. These are them. They're usually about US$4-5, so this is a slight discount. They came out in Dec 2016.
Piston Air AKA Capsule = US$10
Piston 2 = US$10, replaced by Piston 3 = US$15 replaced by Piston 4, AKA Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro, AKA Hybrid, AKA Dual Driver. US$15
Mi In-Ear Headphones Pro HD, AKA Hybrid Pro, AKA Triple Driver. US$22
Mi ANC (noise cancelling) and Type-C cable In-Ear Headphones. US$45
The multi-naming system… well, it needs a bit of work.
They are pretty much all good value — they perform well for the price. Best value overall = Piston 4 at US$15/NZ$20 on Ebay, you'll struggle to find anything else under $50 that sounds better. (You may also struggle if you search for 'piston 4' because of all the names used for this model.)
