280

Canon Maxify MB5460 All-in-One Printer for $149 at Warehouse Stationery with a $150 cashback at Canon, for a grand total of -$1.

Link to cashback: https://www.canon.co.nz/products/specials/back-to-school-cas…

Purchase a selected Canon PIXMA or Maxify printer between 31 January 2018 and 16 April 2018 and we'll give you cash via redemption.

So you might need to wait until tomorrow for the deal.

Could probably try price match the printer at other places if Warehouse Stationery runs out.

EDIT: Looks like Warehouse Stationery is out of stock. You could try and price match another cheaper store's price with an authorised retailer and see how that goes.

Mod 31/1: Users have reported that stock is still available in store, check with your local store.

    Here we go again…

  • price or stock level will most likely change by tommorrow. but good luck!

    • "Availability: 13 Item(s) in Stock."

      • +1

"Purchase a selected Canon PIXMA or Maxify printer between 31 January 2018…"

13 available in stock on January 30th doesnt mean much.

        • I was just pointing out how low the stock levels are already before the cashback comes in to effect.

        • @parlane: good point, i'd be surprised if this deal was obtainable by tommorrow.

        • @nachos: stock now showing 7

        • @nachos:

Yes I wonder if having this up today has confused a few people… The rate of sales seem quite high?

        • @nachos: 5 now, would be surprised if they're are any for tomorrow.

        • out of stock.

        • lol whos going to be returning them tomorrow?

  • Pricespy shows a number of others at similar prices. If stock runs out I will be trying Smith City who look like an authorised reseller. I will also see if PB will price match it

    Extreampc has them cheaper

    • Is ExtremePC authorised retailers? I can't found them on canon site.

      • if they arent on this then possibly not
        canon.co.nz/support/dealer-locator

    • Im not sure

  • As per Canon T&C
This Cash Back promotion applies to the following products purchased through Canon New Zealand authorised retailers (canon.co.nz/support/dealer-locator) and the Canon Official Online Store (shop.canon.co.nz) between 25 October 2017 and 24 December 2017.

    Is cash back still available?

    • +2

They have done this before where they have not updated correctly. Id go by the 31st Jan to 16th April and be confident with being able to claim

  • Those people in the past that have done the cashback, how quickly are they processed?

    • +1

Have had anywhere from a week to the full 28 days with Canon (literally had one come through on the last day)

    • I got mine 2 days later

  • Can I buy several?

    • +1

AS per T&C's - "Only two cash back claims may be made per transaction. A claimant (whether an individual or entity) may make a maximum of 4 claims under this promotion and claims will be processed in the order received by the Promoter."

  • If I buy at 12.01 tonight is that ok?

    • +1

      Yes

Alarm clocks up and down the country going off at midnight. You can be sure if its your neighbor, they're a choice cheapies fan!

  • +1

Awesome deal! Just bought 2 , still shown available to purchase

    • +2

um deal starts tomorrow but hey

    • You need to be buying this tomorrow…

    • Haha!

    • Tomorrow…

    • Printer Cash Back
Purchase a selected Canon PIXMA or Maxify printer between 31 January 2018 and 16 April 2018 and we'll give you cash via redemption.

    • Notice that but I can go to local store to do refund and repurchase. I'm sure it will go out of stock tomorrow.

      • Store returns:
Not 100% happy with your purchase? We’ll replace or refund it, no worries.

You must return goods to a store within 14 days, in their original condition, including the packaging, with the receipt.

Note - the following items can only be replaced or refunded if faulty:

        software
        opened inks or toners
mobile phones, tablets, printers, laptops and PCs (and other technology products)
        special customer orders.

It means you cannot get refund for the printer unless it is faulty?

        • Good thinking! I didn't read that part. I just rang warehouse stationary and was told I can take it back to the store to re-
purchase it. I never have luck to get this good deal!fingers cross😂

    • Haha 😂

    out of stock

  • +1

Smiths City also had this printer for $149 tonight, but price went up just before midnight to $299.

      • not an official dealer

        • pretty sure I've claimed from elive before and it worked, I'll have a look for ya :)

        • @Rowjo: Even if you claimed with them before it's gamble, according to the rules they are out of this offer.

        • @pk: you put them under 'other' as they are never listed as authorised dealers, noone else seemed to have issues with the cashback either. this is the deal I refer to: https://www.cheapies.nz/node/12147. I'll correct that one person had a problem with elive by the looks. So I agree, would class as a gamble

      • +1

Yeah problem is they are not listed as an Official Canon Retailer when you search on their website. Having said that you may get your cashback approved, but it is a gamble I guess.

        • It says on the same page they a re an authorised canon dealer.

  • Try in store, the in laws rang WS today and had them put one aside for them

    • That was a smart idea

  • Jb hi-fi has stock of Canon Maxify MB5160 Multi-Function Printer for $119. Cash back on this model is $100 if anyone maybe interested.

    https://www.jbhifi.co.nz/computers-tablets/Printers/canon/ca…

    • Nice consolation prize. The printer has the exact same spec, just lacks an extra paper tray (250 sheets x2 on the 5460 vs 250 sheets x 1 on the 5160)

  • Product no longer exists on warehouse stationery page.

  • Is jbhifi authorised retailers?

    • Yes they are. I got a similar printer & cashback last year from them.

  • Has anyone actually managed to purchase this deal as stated, i.e. $149 printer with $150 cash back within the T&C dates from an authorised reseller? If not should this really have been listed as a deal?

On a side note, how come Smith City, who currently have stock, raise their price by the exact amount of the cash back minutes before the cash back offer becomes available? It feels unfair and almost rigged against the consumer?

    • +2

The reason for this is the way Canon run their promo's. EG until a set date the give the retailer a $100 for each one they sell. Then they switch the promo to $100 cashback for the consumer. The retailers probably paying somewhere around $200 each for the printers but with the $100 sell through support they are able to sell it for $149.

It's only in rare cases where the promos cross over with a retailers catalogue or promotion that you'll be able to double dip.

      • +1

Thanks for the explanation! I guess Warehouse Stationery got their offer end date wrong as I believe their website said this printer was $149 until 4th February 2018. I'm betting printer stock suddenly reappears on their website on 5th February at $300… ;)

This deal is still active for in store stock in seems. Just got last one in a local store for $149 today.

  • +1

Thats true.. have picked up 2 from the store at the same price. Deal is still active!

  • Some Warehouse stationary stores have stock. I bought one in petone and they have 2 more in stock (1 boxed and 1 display piece) and lower hutt store have 1 display piece. All the best

  • Price is still $149. I just called my local Noel Leeming store and put 5 of them aside for after I finish work.

    • Do you mean Warehouse Stationery? Also if you want to claim for the cashback you can only buy max of 2 per transaction, and only 4 printers in total for the total period of the cashback.

      • Hey Hamster it states the following below. I would have thought that 1 claim is per transaction therefore 2 printers. I would therefore assume a maximum of 8 printers you could receive cash back for? Any thoughts?

"9. Only two cash back claims may be made per transaction. A claimant (whether an individual or entity) may make a maximum of 4 claims under this promotion and claims will be processed in the order received by the Promoter."

      • Actually, no 4 makes sense. And I did mean warehouse stationary.
