Free Cookie @ Subway (Possible Trick)

130

not sure how long this has been running. But i bothered to join the subway reward system today and my receipt contained the following…
Get a FREE cookie when you take our
Tell Subway survey within the next 7 days
- www.tellsubway.co.nz
Today's date is 15/02/18
Your Store number is: XXXXX (ok so it doesnt say XXXXX but its a 5 digit code).

What i found weird was the cookie promo part of the receipt doesnt seem to have any unique transaction id.
The website also asks what day and time, but again only the day is showing on the promo part not the time (threw away the other part of the receipt).
So here is what i found…

Go to the website.
Enter the store ID on your receipt (fairly sure this will be static and not unique per customer)
Select Date and Time (doesnt seem to matter what day or time you give it, in fact the reciept says within 7 days but you can choose further back)
Answer the survey (takes about 20 seconds)
Enter your email address
Get unique QR Code via email (QR code is a alphanumeric code that is 9 characters long)

The email with QR code says something like this…..

Hi Customer,

Thanks so much for doing our survey.
Your feedback will help us keep on getting better.

Enjoy your free cookie!*

The SUBCARD® Team

To claim your free cookie, just show this email or mobile voucher at the Subway® Restaurant where you made your original purchase on or before 22/02/2018.

When you try and do the survey again using the known store code it says
There is a limit of 4 free cookies per week and 1 per 24 hours per email address.
So if you happen to forget where your fullstop is in your address you dont have to worry too much about that limit.

So i havent redeemed my cookie yet as i have just done it tonight and i dont think i will have time tommorrow or this weekend.

Doesnt appear to have any minimum purchase requirement so just redeeming the cookie should be fine.

So where here from now?, i dont want to give out the unique store code yet just in case their system detects some weird sh*te.
But if anyone goes to subway and checks their receipt we can collect all the store codes, and if my assumption is correct me thinks we can redeem anywhere.
Im guessing you also find the store code on any generic receipt so if this promo only printed out for loyality members you may not have to be a member, we will see.

apologies for the long (And lack of formatting) post.

  • I used to do this whenever I knew I was going to subway! Just memorize the store number and your good to go!

    • thanks , did you find the QR code works at any subway? Or is it only valid at the store you choose via the store ID during feedback?

Store IDs are not some sort of "open secret". To find out a particular store's store ID, go to the restaurant finder on Subway's website, type in your address, town/city or postcode etc and click "Search". Your nearest restaurants will then be displayed with their address, trading hours, contact details, services offered and of course, the store/restaurant ID.

  • If you order online you get a free cookie or drink as well. I've stood next to a queue ordering my Sub, and had it ready before the lines even half way through - as well as a free cookie.

  • I have one problem though—this would require me to eat at Subway.

      No worries, they do takeaway!

    Had this for ages.

I stopped eating Subway years ago when they introduced the subcard and hiked all their prices. Suddenly you had to buy 20+ subs to get a free foot long instead or 4. I honestly don't get why people pay $12+ for a roll. They count out the meatballs in a meatball sub too. 4 per six inches. When sub of the day was $3.90 that was palatable but at $4.90 I thought it was terrible value.

  • This is awesome! Subway cookies are bomb.

  • Most times our local Subway has run out of cookies anyway!

  • If you use incognito, you can do it more than once (to different emails, most likely). Does anyone know if you can claim more than one at once in store?

    • i think that might look a bit suspicious claiming more than one at a time in store. So depends on store i suppose.
you should be able do without incognito, just need a different email address.

      • I went in to my local Subway yesterday and claimed 5 at once (lol). However, I noticed it wasn't someone who I've seen work there before working. So. I don't know. It would look fishy though.
