I want to buy one but I can't be bothered taking the bus to Albany for a Pak N Save.
What is the purpose to buy such a SIM card? plz anyone tells me. thx
You may want at least one SIM card from every network, so you can take advantage of deals especially if you have a dual-SIM phone.
Let's say you want unlimited data because ADSL is down. You see 2Degrees' data clock and since you already have the SIM, just put some money in and you're good to go. If you find that 2Degree's reception is poor then just whip out that Skinny SIM you already have and use that instead.
Alternatively it can be used for app verification. Let's say that Burger King or Z now requires a verified mobile number for new member bonuses. Just grab a SIM from your "stockpile" and activate it, and now you have BK Chicken combos and car washes for $1 with throwaway SIMs.
Finally perhaps you may be in the tourism business, and you can mark them up for sale to tourists.
I see. Thanks a lot for the explanation. for example,if I have used my current Vodafone number for Uber, then a new Sim card gives me the chance to get $20 allowance for the first time user of Uber App.
Sorry. I mean given you already have a sim card and one single sim card mobile phone. will vodafone allocate you a mobile number even if you do not top it up? therefore you can use the card to receive TXTs or phone calls.
To Admin: Kindly delete this post. Not really a deal as one can still get free Vodafone SIM at https://www.vodafone.co.nz/mates/
