First post, sorry if it's wrong somehow.

Saw this on Joybuy.com and seems a good deal, Sandisk 2.5" SSD PLUS 480GB/535Mb/s for $79.99usd which works out at just under $120nzd today, plus it has free shipping to NZ which is always a bonus.

Other sizes available through the link but the prices aren't that special.

Will you actually get it though? I ordered something 2 months ago from them and it never arrived, and they didn't provide any details of what happened to it. Said they would need a couple of weeks to investigate. But they did give me a refund, so it all worked out, just a waste of time.

    • I've made around 15 seperate purchases from them and only 2 ended up not arriving. Got refunded for both the items that seems to have gotten lost which is annoying when stuff you buy end up not arriving, but at least the refund process wasnt too bad. They just have a 60 day not arrive refund policy which is a bit long in my opinion. Regardless buying anything online means you run the risk of items getting lost, I've even had items not arriving from Amazon.

      • I agree, although some online stores seem to take far longer than others, as they seem to ship them to Europe first. I have actually never had anything never arrive before, and nothing over 60 days, so maybe I have just had good luck.

      • Buying from any online retailer runs the risk of the goods not turning up, that's just part and parcel of playing the game just like the waiting 6-8 weeks for it to arrive is. Just make sure you always use PayPal for online purchases and you'll be covered by PayPal's buyer protection policy if anything does go wrong. The only way to 100% guarantee that something is going to turn up is to go to a brick & mortar store in town and pay full retail price for them to hand it to you, but if we were going to do that then none of us would be here on Cheapies would we?

    • Same goes for Amazon I had parcel not arriving a couple of times. Joybuy is subsidiary of jd.com which is a reputable e-commerce site in China. I'd say they are more reliable than AliExpress.

  • The site says shipping to NZ is not available.

    • Yeah the 480GB one is sold out.
