Better get this quick, deal ends today in a few hours I believe.

You're essentially getting the promised selling price of $299 from Xiaomi's own store on Aliexpress. Get the Seller coupon on the page and apply it at checkout. These are usually around $350 USD+ and doesn't include free shipping.

You can also get an additional $4 USD user coupon by signing up a new account on Aliexpress.

  • Import fees?

  • I've never had to pay import fees for anything that I've purchased on Aliexpress. Have bought a Redmi Note 3 Pro a few years ago and no need to pay that either.

    • Just to ensure people don't take Chaoscreater's word for it and take a punt. I have been stung import fees when ordering from Aliexpress before. It all depends on how you get things delivered. If it is being delivered by DHL or any official carrier, the chances are very high for you getting stung if it is over $190USD. It's all about the declared value.. if the seller is happy to declare the value as $99 USD you'll be fine.

  • Rather wait for it to get here, there's no warranty otherwise.

  • +1

I just got the Pocophone 6gb/128gb version from the the Xiaomi store in Hong Kong (601 Nathan Road in Mong Kok if you're interested) and I must say I'm pretty impressed. I paid HK$2800 or about NZ$540 but note this is the 128gb version.

The phone is just as snappy as the reviews say, and the build kinda felt like the redmi note 4. I got the red version as it really stands out compared to the gunmetal grey and blue ones.

  • Just got the phone today. Wait time took little over 1 month. FYI, I didn't have to pay any import tax etc. As long as the seller on Aliexpress / Ebay / Whatever put "Gift" in the shipping, you're pretty much safe. I haven't paid for any import taxes at all for any of my previous purchases. My friend was a bit unlucky though, he purchased a $450 designer sunglasses from online and paid $115 for it.

BTW, there was a deal on Cheapies where you pay around $30 to get a 128GB Samsung Evo microSD card. I think it was from Joybuy and those deals come up regularly. Got mine last time for $27 NZD. That's much better than paying more than $500 to get the 128 GB version. Just my 2cents.
