        The current power grid won't be able to handle the load if everyone went electric with their cars. Major investment is needed in power generation and transmission, along with higher electricity bills. So yes it is a good time to invest in power companies.

        Yes this is true if everyone plugged in at peak. But if people move to on peak / off peak (cheaper) plans, as they have done in countries where EVs are popular, then there is plenty of capacity. Go look at a site like em6live to see how much power demand and price changes in the wholesale market during off peak.
