Thanks, knowing that makes this a much less compelling deal.
Yes. Sorry I do that when comparing plans as some have 6 months half price for very similar overall prices
Thank you for clarifying
My republic has good promotions. Don't know if any are on right now.
MyRepublic has basically same deal except in form of $59.99/month for 12 months https://myrepublic.net/nz/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Fibre-1…
It's always worth checking out Broadband Compare https://www.broadbandcompare.co.nz/ and Glimp https://www.glimp.co.nz since they often have semi exclusive deals with various ISPs.
any existing customers tried to get this deal by signing up to a contract again?
I do that every year with Spark, they always let me resign up to the 12 months contract when my current one expires. I just tell them that I'm considering changing to another ISP since my current contract is going to expire.
They usually just match the deal from the other ISP. In my case last year, it was just a 3 months free + $100 credit or something like that on a 12 months contract. They just match the exact same plan / pricing + the bonus offers from the other ISP. Basically the same thing that you would get if you switched over.
Yes, just send an email to ask for a contract, and you can get the 3 months free.
I'm with BigPipe, if you need a static IP then they're the most cost effective as a static is flat rate with them. If you don't need a static, then shop around.
And they usually offer 2 months free no contract at that price, which is weird. Their marketing used to say that they don't do contracts at all so it's strange they're suddenly doing them now.
I think BigPipe is trying to find their place with Skinny in the mix, and Spark's network changes meaning there's no difference between BigPipe and Spark/Skinny network wise. Ultimately if they can't find a useful niche, Spark will just kill them off.
The old deal was 2 months free to customers who already have fibre installed at their place. The new deal now gives 3 months free with contract, for every plan, fibre installed or not.
Going to sign up with your code/ referral, cheers for posting, enjoy $20 credit :)
It's billed as $79.95/mo, OP's taken the 3 months free into account making it $59.25/mo over 12 months
