Got this email from the warehouse:

On Friday 22 March, we notified you about the upcoming changes to your Warehouse Money Visa Card. The changes communicated included an increase to the purchase and cash advance interest rate, as well as being charged an annual fee on your account anniversary.

Whilst this is true for our other product on offer, this change wasn’t intended for the Warehouse Money Visa Card and was sent to you in error.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the confusion and any inconvenience we may have caused. To confirm, below are the interest rate applicable to your account as they have always been.

      Guessing that will be "corrected" soon. This definitely wasn't a simple "error in communications"!

  • I've cancelled mine but yet received a confirmation email, I'm not gonna keep this card even they keep the discount forever at 10% off.

    LOL the people have spoken and in one week the greedy corp backtracked on a colossal booboo. Jenkins will get sacked(I call the guy who made the 55 error Jenkins because it sounds like typical Jenkins)

    Will keep the card, hell its always handy having extra buying power at no cost. Good outcome, I pummeled the Warehouse facebook page with how stupid this idea was, the funny thing is the Warehouse guys didn't know anything about the fee.

    • Warehouse has already sold these cards to third party (Financial company). So, thats why warehouse guys don’t know.
      Is it legal to put a fees by giving a short notice like this?

      • Yes, because although it was terribly worded, they weren't going to charge the fee on the 1st April - they were (and still are for Purple I believe?) going to do so on your anniversary date.

  • I'm confused. I still haven't even got an email saying that they are going to start charging. This company is hopeless. So I've got the standard red card,is that getting charges from my anniversary?

    • Try searching for emails with subject, "Important changes to your Warehouse Money Visa Card Terms and Conditions".

      No, according to the email yesterday, the red WHM card is till free.

        Nothing, not even in my junk. I never get the emails with the current deals, I did try and get that sorted but they basically said well it's fine from our end you should get them, but I don't. I did get the ones when they had the change in ownership, but it seems nothing else.

        • I have the same issue. Have never received any email from TWM. I rang them up and tested my email and they said everything is "fine". and I still have never received any email. Three months later I rang up again said I will change to another email address just test if that would fix the issue. Email changed but still no email received. I have been charged for late fee due to not receiving statement in email and totally forgotten that I've used $5 on the card last month! I won't keep it if it not free.

  • Finally got through to cancel the card yesterday… Now I gotta get through again to cancel the cancellation

  • I complained because there wasn't any communication about the fees. Good to see they've clarified it. I rarely use my card but the deals are good.

    From my email it seems the card fee is for the purple card? The red card is still free.
