  • Apparently none in stock in any of the stores in the Bay Of Plenty

    • Bummer. 41 in stock online, best to call your local first

      • Anyway you should still be able to click and collect for free I assume. BTW I had a look on 1st May the day this started and couldn't see any in the Lincoln Road store. There didn't even seem to be a place for them or price tag among the other label makers. So unless they were storing them somewhere weird, I wonder if it's only sold in limited stores or online only.

Also I had a look on 1st May and no other stores had them at a remotely similar price. I don't think any of the other stores which sell them have price beating like WHS 5%. So you may be able to get someone to price match but probably can't get a better price barring future sales.

Edit: Ignore my earlier stock question. Figured you just asked in store or on phone for BOP stock and for online you just add a lot to your cart. It's down to 35 now BTW. Wonder how much there were on 1st May. I forgot the trick so didn't check.

        • Just realised click and collect/pickup isn't available for this for whatever reason. Since it's available for other label makers, wonder if it's further evidence this is some special online only price.

  • Now $3 less due to promo, will update post. 22 left in stock online.

    • Reminder that with the $1 off $10 deal and the label maker being $38, if you add $2 worth in the right category you'll only pay $1 extra. If you're struggling to find stuff, note that WHS seem to consider nearly everything in the office supplies category as furniture or stationery. So you can add Mentos or cleaning products or tissues or chocolate or paracetemol. Strangely enough, fewer stuff in the school category are considered furniture or stationery including things like protractors. Of course if you're going to get it up to $40, you might as well add another $6 in any category and get the free shipping.

  • Where does it show you the $30 cash back?? It's $35 when added to cart with no mention of the cash back…..or am I just stupid and misread the post?

    • Google Brother cashback and check their main Web page for cash back details.

Their as in Brother's main web page.

      • No need for Google. The cash back link is at the bottom of the original post. It's a separate deal and will probably take a few weeks processing time before you get your money back.

        • Brother does promise you will receive your cash back in 5 days of acceptance if receiving it via bank transfer, 10 days if cheque. Of course it has to be accepted first. But then again for the bluetooth label maker, I used the form in the evening of 1 May and sent in my receipt by email just after and received confirmation and my $50 cash back the next day. I did have prior communication with some questions but I don't think I was treated as a super special case.

I heard from someone with a printer last year who also received it fairly fast.

Assuming it works like the printer cash back, it's processed by Brother directly (not when you buy the product). You'll have to wait till you get the printer, then fill up a form online with the serial number and email them the receipt. They will transfer the $30 to your bank account (I think they can also send cheques).

  • Wow, what could go wrong with a $5 Brother label maker? Thanks, OP.

  • also remember these takes six AAA batteries which are annoying. but there's a deal on atm for this https://www.cheapies.nz/node/19628

    • IMO a some LSD NiMH and a decent charger are a worth investment if you use anything with AA or AAA batteries that needs replacement within say 1 year.

  • Powered by AC power adapter or 6 ''AAA'' batteries (both sold separately)

  • FIND INSTORE must be sold out now

The last I checked, none of the stores has this in stock. I got my order today, directly from Brother.

Does it come with any tape?

    • Yes, from reviews it appears that it comes with 1x white tape with black text.

      • Note thought that at least the Bluetooth PTP300BT comes with tape marked 'sample'. From some quick searches, I think it's only 4m compared to 8m for normal tape cartridges.

        • Hmmm… the PTP300BT is on a special for $49 at PBTech and the cash back link is for $50 at the Brother website (Redeem by 14 May 2019).

    • Yep, it comes with 4m of tape.

  • No longer appears to be listed on their website.
