no wonder they are giving out the free machines - 100% compatible now 😂
Virtually all those reviews are from numpties who didn't read the packaging and expected the pods to fit their Nespresso system. As mentioned below, the Espressotoria pods only work in their own machine, which is why they do these bundles.
My partner was given one as a gift and has it at work - apparently a major improvement on the previous options.
Pods are usually $8-$14 for packs of a dozen (they have cheaper and more expensive blends), and are sometimes hard to find but every now and then Countdown do a special on them (they had packs for $4-$5 at the end of May for instance, so I bought quite a few).
There are often adaptors or generic empty compatible pots you can buy as well. Are they available Vittoria?
Don't think so - the Espressotoria system is not compatible with any of the other systems, and because there are relatively small numbers of them out there, all Australasian based (they are headquartered in Sydney), it's not a big enough market to be worth the reverse engineering required.
@tieke: Might as well just go the Dolce route then, since pod adaptors and refillable pods are a dime a dozen there.
The coffee machine (Capino) is retailed for $109 on it's own (how well it sells is a story on its own) 😂 Looking at the reviews, the machine is not bad.

But since it's not compatible with any other type of capsules, unless the plan is to continue purchasing their pods, it may end up stashing in the corner after the 6 packs are consumed.
Ive seen this instore, there were machines in boxes to take with you, so you dont need to redeem.
Seems Coffee machines are the new printers now, where the device is worthless its all about the refills.
They absolutely are. Over the lifetimes of the machines you'll wind up paying more than you would have for something decent and long-lasting. They're both terrible for the environment, too.
I bought this for $20 from NW about half a year ago. Damm thing leaks and I didn't keep the receipt, so will be throwing it away.
We bought a Caffitaly coffee maker from Countdown a couple of years ago it is there own Woolworths Brand ( Australian ) It makes great coffee but but recently our Local Countdown hasn't had any coffee pods in store. These pods are there own rand for the caffitaly coffee machine 10 pods for $4.00 They still sell the coffee machines in store any one know if these new pods will work in that machine. Countdown haven't been able to answer any of my Questions but missing my coffees as we have run out of capsules.
Caffitaly uses completely different pods. They did have the pods back in stock for a while at Countdown. There are similar pods at Briscoes and Harvey Normans but much more expensive. Moccona does caffitaly style at Countdown.
Judestudio's product review link does appear promising, but expert tasting panel says otherwise (40% rating with a maximum of 65% in category) https://www.choice.com.au/food-and-drink/drinks/tea-and-coff…
Personally, i would compromise with instant or plunger, then add condensed milk. Sounds healthier for me and mother Earth.
Irishtimes.com had this article below.
Pod coffee capsules are difficult to recycle because a lot of them contain either plastic or aluminium. This problem is not going away: the man who invented the American coffee pod, John Sylvan, now says he bitterly regrets having done so due to the environmental damage they are causing.
These days Sylvan doesn’t even own a pod machine. “I feel bad sometimes that I ever did it,” he says.
Pods are the worst.
Even a semi-decent automatic machine is just as convenient, with the same taste with far less waste and far less cost.
I've got a DeLonghi Magnifica ($650), about three years old now, and whilst the coffee isn't as good as a full manual (but neither is a pod machine), I just press a button and get coffee from whole beans in the hopper.
Cost more up front but the long term cost is way down, $10-20/KG of roasted beans, ground on demand vs $9 for 12x 7g pods (84g) of preground coffee or over $100/KG. Could even splurge and by high end, fresh roasted for $30/KG and you'd still be way ahead.
Say you have one coffee per day, you would need to buy 31 packs per year (365/12) at a cost of $279. If you have more than one coffee per day then a full auto could pay itself off within one year.
Reviews don’t seem to be good.
