sale starts at 6pm price will be $79
Is it any good? Never used chrome os before.
I think the $79 should set your expectations :) But it might just be sufficient for what whoever needs to do.
So to extend on my comment; this one will only have updates through to June 2020 (so another half a year). Also being a Chromebook, its only really good for internet based activities. So if your connectivity dies, your laptop is a paper weight.
How do you know when the end of update will be?
This particular chip (RK3288C) is a bit laggy and you'll regularly have delays opening videos and when you have 4+ browser tabs open, but overall ChromeOS is lightweight and doesn't bog down as much as Windows would when running on low-end hardware like this.
If you're considering a Chromebook to use every day, I'd recommend one with 4GB RAM an Intel Celeron N3350 or N3450 chip - these are common in Chromebooks and run smoothly for everyday tasks like browsing, office work, or watching videos. They're usually priced between $300-400.
This one is going for $289: https://classic.pricespy.co.nz/product.php?p=4738364
Will the laptop explode if I have over 50 tabs opened at once in the Chrome browser?
don't be silly..
It would've exploded by the 4th tab.
Just an FYI that google will stop updating this device on Jun 2020. Past that date, you will no longer receive updates / google technical support.

Is the lower price in the sale period?
Is currently showing as $148.35
