Pretty good price for a 7.5W solar trickle charger. Plug it in to your car battery and trickle charge at up to 0.5A.

Great for camping trips where you might want to keep your car or boat battery topped up.

Panel is around 30cm Square. They also have a two pack of smaller 1.5W panels for the same price that would fit well on a car dashboard.

On clearance in Bunnings Mt. Roskill in the lighting dept. of all places. Could be in stock in other stores too.

Much cheaper than similar panels in Supercheap, etc.

    Ok so I'm going to try answer your question without having to google anything and without the tech jargons. Hopefully, that's enough lol :)

    You mean the 12v DC adapter? That's there so that you can put the solar panel on your dashboard. You then plug it in the 12v dc socket to trickle charge your car's battery.

    If your battery is flat, then, no. This is a trickle charger. It's main purpose is to slowly charge the battery if you won't use it for a while to keep it charged. Batteries discharge over time and some batteries get damaged when their charge dips down the recommended charge levels.

    is there any way to use it to charge phone

    Probably. You'll need to step down 12v to 5v. It'll take forever to charge your phone however.

      Yep this is correct. Basically you connect these to your car battery and then charge your phone though a cigar/accessory socket adapter. The solar panel just stops your battery going flat.

  Plenty in stock at Bunnings Manukau too. Found them in the aisle with extension cords and power boards.
