As long as you don't need customer support, these guys are reliable and consistent with speeds. No phone support though; only email, as this is essentially Spark's budget offering. I've been happy on them for the past six months.

    • There is also live chat support which should be useful for troubleshooting.

  • Sounds great but I couldn’t find Canterbury special Fibre 200/20 - $79.
    Help please.

    • Same here, Pro UFB = Canterbury special, but it show $99 how do I get it for $79 I'm in Canterbury?

      • If you enter your address into the box, it should update the prices. Just tried it and was working.

        • I entered my address and it still show $99, I'm in Ashbunton

@doubledippps: The Canterbury deal is a bit misleading with its name. It will most likely be those in the greater Christchurch area inside Enables coverage area as they upgraded the 100/20 plan to 200/20 for free to wholesalers. Unfortunately ashburton is a chorus area so wouldn't be eligible.

good deal for 100/20, anyone looking for faster speed would be better off elsewhere, stuff fibre do 6 months half price on their $89.95 950mbp plan using referral.

    • Stuff fiber speeds are not very good at Canterbury I get around 400 Mbps on average since many months then 800 plus which I got on orcon

    • I came from Stuff Fibre and they would only do 4 months for existing customers as referral is for new customers only :(

If you go for the boosted speeds then Stuff Fibre is $809.55 for the 12 months (6 are half price) and BigPipe is $981 for the 12 months (3 months free) so it certainly works out better for the faster speeds.

    • Should I go with this or 2degree or stuff fibre for 100/20? Are there speed different according to where I live as I'm in Ashburton

      • I'm not fully clued up on this but from my research 2Degrees are using CGNAT, which can affect certain things: https://help.2degreesmobile.co.nz/app/answers/detail/a_id/40…

Also worth noting that BigPipe and Skinny are on the same network as Spark and even though Spark has its issues I found their network very stable. I was with Vodafone, then Spark then tried Stuff Fibre and now BigPipe.

    • Bigpipe's 100/20 plan is ~$8.5 cheaper than Stuff's deal. :)

  • Been with bigpipe for years now. Had minor issues over that time, but most recently they had turned our speed down it seemed, after messaging them on fb within 20 minutes of my message being ‘read’ the problem resolved itself automatically Then 10 mins later only to be followed up with a ‘nothing wrong on our end reply’…

And as someone no longer on contract with them we tried jumping back on contract to take advantage of the above offer but our details were denied by the finance people. Oddly

    • ISPs limiting speeds because everyone is now using the Internet at home and clogging up the bandwidth.

      • I can understand that. But they denied doing that and fixed it back up when a customer noticed

        • Shutdown then restart modem. Change password. Maybe your neighbour is stealing your wifi.

  • Yes, even though I'm with bp for a few years now, I still signed up for this deal about 3 months ago and they sent me the new spark "smart" modem. And if spark mesh wasn't $160, I would go for that too.

    • Can you sign up for this deal even if you're already a Bigpipe customer?

      • Probably best to contact them.
