It helps my plants. I try to grow plants as healthy as I possible can. I use seaweed extract, compost tea and molasses. Throughout the life cycle plus pot ash for fruiting.

I've used seasol in the past with good results for rhubarb, limes, lavander plants.
It's all weather but wouldn't water/feed plants in frost. Used in Dunedin and wellington

Those smoke detectors have terrible reviews about going off on their own for no reason after 5-6 months

Haha yea just read those terrible reviews and they all crack me up how bad this smoke alarm seems to be, all one star!

  • whats a good smoke detector, also what types are best?

Preferably ones that are wirelessly interlinked, mains powered with a backup battery. Heat alarms for the kitchen.

Cheap "10 year" smoke alarms may fall short of their 10 year lifespan (so test them regularly) but are now mandated in rental properties. It's also interesting that ionisation alarms have disappeared from the market, previously the good ones combine both photoelectric & ionisation detectors. I have the Cavius interlinked alarms (got them cheap on Trademe) in my house, and they work quite nicely. Cavius also have security sensors that can be linked to the smoke alarms, and a gateway hub for cellphone push notification.

Here's a cheap wireless interlinked smoke alarm with 10-year battery:

The nuisance alarms in the Mitre 10 reviews are probably caused by cold & damp rooms, where moisture buildup causes an interruption of the photoelectric beam & triggering the alarm.

Only two bottles of the Seaweed tonic on shelf at New Lynn. I grabbed them both. Heard great things about this stuff but never used it.
Bought 3 roses for $40 from Warehouse yesterday. So they are soaking in it now.
    Thanks for the heads up!
