This power bank can fully charge 2 devices at the same time when battery storage is full. The power bank battery can be re-charged on the wall or by the sunshine. It holds enough power to feed more than 2 devices. And it charge devices fast.

  • What's the point of the solar panel?

    • +3

You charge the battery with the sun through the solar panel and then you can charge your phone, tablet, speakers, any small device on the go. That means you don't need to be near any power socket to charge your devices :)

More like NZ$40 for a comparable model, then you've got the long lead time and difficulty of getting a replacement if it packs up after a month of use.

I'd buy this for the simple fact that this product is (from the sounds of it) in the country, the vendor is bound by the consumer guarantees act, and I'm helping the local economy.

Good luck OP, looks like a good deal but sadly I'm not in need of one at the moment.

      • How long to fully charge it from flat? How many watts is the solar panel?

        • hi, same time as a normal charger. Solar panel 8 watts.

Sorry, I could not find the exact product with that search, To answer your question, you don't need to pay anything if you don't want, you might want to if you want to support local business and trust a NZ owned company :)

My bad thought this was another dropshiping company. I've removed my neg. To the front page of cheapies :).

  • Are you putting them together? How are the W and mAh ratings tested?

8000mah is kinda small for a power bank. You can get a 10k mah unit Made by xiaomi from pb tech for similar price( or upgrade to a 20k unit for slightly more) and it will have better cells inside than an unknown brand

Solar Charging is a gimmick at best and it will take days to charge up.

Agree regarding solar charging for normal situations.

Handy to have if you find yourself up sh!t creek. Backpacking across the alps for for 2 weeks and your normal battery bank runs out juice.

    • AllPower and Choetech sell some good quality mono panel’s.Anything more than 20W is more thaN enough to charge your power bank with the winter sun.

I use Pana 18650 batteries as power bank and can use it in my head lamp while in the bush.

  • The product photos don't show the solar panels very clearly, so I think this (similar but not identical) one gives a better idea of how it looks:

  • Better to just get a xiaomi powerbank. They are awesome as.

    • Does Xiaomi do a solar powerbank?

      • Not sure, but the ones I have don't have it and no need for it. I have the 20000mah powerbanks from xiaomi, they last super long without use and they can charge my phones multiple times without issues. Solar panel power banks are just gimmicky at best. It's better to get a good, decently sized power bank, than to get a tiny powerbank at only 8000mah with a solar panel feature that most people will barely use. I bring my powerbank to work and just charge it there anyway. Way faster than waiting to charge via the sun. And it only costs me like $35 NZD to get the 20000mah from xiaomi. I could buy 2 of those with the price i'm paying for this deal here.

        • You might be right on your reasoning, but this is something else, this is for someone who cares about the environment and who wants to reduce footprint and is mainly for outdoor activities without accessible power. Similar products different concepts.
