  Just over 2 years old. From what I see online they perform pretty well for their price. Youtube the chip and gaming and you'll see. I was blown away to be fair lol

  They're Raven Ridge, which is the original Zen. This means they're fine as far as single thread performance goes. I wouldn't say they're great, but they're fine.

  AKA they're just under half a Ryzen 3 1300X. (Dual core, same base frequency but no Turbo).

  They're equivalent to a Core based Intel Pentium.

  Would I recommend them? Probably not with two exceptions. People who need to flash the BIOS on their motherboard so they can get their 3900X running. Or (so rare it's not worth mentioning) people on an extreme budget, with a processor failure on an AM4 board, where the processor isn't under warranty.

  For anyone else, quad cores start at $140 if you're building new. For those who want maximum performance for minimum budget, get a used business desktop from TradeMe (HP Elitedesk/Prodesk, Dell Optiplex) with a quad core Gen 4/5/6 i5 or i7 for like $200 for the whole system.

    True, people who actually need performance are better off
    but this at this price if you're looking for

    spare/backup/testing cpu
    some media/hobby box build,
    want to sell their cpu now and need something to hobble along till they get their zen3

    this is cheap and ok enough

  better to get a used 3400g off aliexpress for like another $50nzd will be much better then this cpu also the built in vega 11 is also decent for running games and editing video
