Mercury are working with Lime to bring Mercury customers three free $5 rides on Lime e.bikes and e.scooters during e.Week (Monday 2 November – Sunday 8 November 2020) (Promotional Period).
This offer is available to existing Mercury customers aged 18+ who have downloaded the Mercury app.
By taking up this offer, a promotional code will be provided to you to in the Mercury app to be applied in the Lime app that can be redeemed for 3 free Lime rides (maximum value of $5 per ride – if your Lime ride costs more than $5, you will receive a $5 discount off that ride instead). One promotional code will unlock 3 free $5 rides on Lime e.scooters and e.bikes.
Your free (or discounted) rides will only be available to use during the Promotional Period and can only be used in cities where Lime operates in New Zealand. Lime’s operating areas are Wellington, Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Dunedin and Tauranga.
How to redeem
Before you can redeem using the steps below, if you do not have a Lime account you will need to sign up to Lime by downloading the Lime app and agree to Lime's User Terms to take up this offer.
To redeem this offer:
Step 1: Request your promotional code from the tile in the Mercury app. Promotional codes will only be available in the Mercury app between Monday 2 November – Sunday 8 November 2020.
Step 2: Make sure you’re already signed up for Lime. If you’ve already signed up to the Lime app, click through from Mercury app or the email, follow the prompts and this will automatically apply your promotional code to your Lime account. Once loaded, your three free $5 rides will show under ‘Promos’ tab in the Lime app only for the duration of the Promotional Period. This will unlock your three free $5 rides with Lime.
Step 3: Locate your nearest Lime e.bike or e.scooter using the map in the Lime app. Scan the QR code on the e.bike or e.scooter to unlock it, pop your helmet on, and away you go. Enjoy riding wonderful!
Important things to note:
Each free ride will be for a maximum of $5 – your Lime account will be charged for anything over this spend.
If you spend less than $5 on your ride, you will forfeit the remaining spend.
The free rides won’t stack for one ride. For example, a $10 ride will apply one of the $5 free rides, and you’ll be charged for the extra $5 of ride time.
Promotional codes will only be available to request and redeem during the Promotional Period (Monday 2 November – Sunday 8 November 2020). At the end of the Promotional Period, you'll forfeit any unused rides.
Promotional codes can only be redeemed once.
