Free 1 Yr Calm Subscription for AmEx Cardholders [Usually $85NZD] and 50% off Following Year

20

Not sure if targeted but have been getting these emails offering Calm (a meditation/wellness app) from AMEX.
Expiry used to be in Oct but they have extended it. Didn't think much of it but saw the other AMEX offer being used so thought I'd try it. Just remember to cancel renewal!

Free for one year then 50% off following year. I've signed up and have turned off auto renew.

If you haven’t already, you can still enjoy this brilliant offer brought to you in partnership with Calm – the app for Sleep, Meditation and Relaxation.
Relax and unwind with a complimentary year of Calm Premium Membership, plus receive 50% off the following year upon automatic renewal.
Sign up extended until 31 December 2020. See Offer Terms for full details.

  • Is it good anybody tried calm app before?

    • It's kinda like background /bed-time soundtracks. Personally I get too easily distracted to use these apps but it's good if you like yoga/meditation type stuff.

  • Hi Didntknowya,

I've taken up the offer (thanks for posting it). Where did you cancel the auto renew - in Amex or in Calm (cancel subscription button)?

I've had mixed results in cancelling free subscriptions early. Some have stopped access immediately and others have allowed the free period to run until payment would be due.

    Many thanks, Justine

    • they hide it in the app so it's easier when you log in to calm on a browser, then go to profile > manage subscription > turn off.

After that I got an email confirming it's canceled but still get premium access for a year (then it's only free content).

      • Cheers, recurring payments stopped, trial still active.
