A word of warning about Nelson… I had a holiday there once, loved it so much I moved there.
You could possibly use this for a 1 or 2 person booking by booking a flexible fare for another member of your household, and then cancelling that person's ticket for a refund.
What pisses me off with air NZ is they always charge the highest fare.
For example if one seat is available at $100 and the next seat is $120, two people traveling together get charged $240 instead of $220 unless you book the seats individually
