Long time lurker, thank you guys!

I bought my XPS15 9500, but this is a great deal atm.

Deliverd to nz with tax and shipping included came to 2600ish NZD.

The internals are better in the Blade 15 base but smaller battery and louder. Swings and roundabouts as to your preferences, but this is not a bad deal compared to PB tech selling it with almost a 800-1000 mark up

There is 1660ti model for 100USD less too.

Iggy dude thanks for the first post. Looks good. Would be super helpful to put the complete price in the title. Chur!!!!

    • Thanks for the feedback, lessons for future posts. Cheers!

  • this includes all import taxes ?

I believe Amazon factors that in and calculates it at checkout?

    • To my understanding, Yes. Everytime i have ordered from USA through an amazon vendor, it includes the GST and Shipping at the border. My knowledge is also that there is no Duty to pay on single items within the category for "computers" regarding NZ customs. Put it this way, after i checkout the purchase, it just shows up at my door and I have yet to have to pay for anything extra

  • Suggest you take a look at the reviews, pretty mixed for something of this price range

  • Probably a bit too risky for something that's not covered by manufacturer warranty.

    • This is a fair point. Risk reward with any online purchase and product dependent really/ Cheers

I think especially when you buy from overseas which has different warranty procedures
Razor for example does not have international warranty and Amazon only has a 30 day free return window.

    • If you read Linus Tech Tips, Razer Blades suck hard in terms of reliability.

      • I have never found razor hardware to be reliable tbh and I owned a few of them.

Good to see another Amazon deal on here.
Samsung 970 EVO SSD 500GB available for ~NZ$103 (approx. delivered) from Amazon if anyone's interested.
Added this as a cart filler to qualify for NZ10 coupon.

  • cpu is a i7-10750H not just 750H and itd be helpful to add ~$2600 to the title. In terms of reviews, I believe previous razer blades had webcam QC problems but not sure if this is still a problem

Yup, noted. Someone has helped me out on this front i see :)

  • Don't forget the power supply wouldn't be compatible here either. Usually just means buying a simple NZ lead and plug instead, but occasionally you might need an entire replacement charger, depending how it is set up.

    • PB tech have simple solutions for this that I estimate would be less than $100 bucks. But again valid. Had a similar issue with my Jamo P102 speakers, but the cord to replace with appropriate electrical parameters and safety cost 6 bucks.

Since it is also USB-C PD, pretty cross compatible so long as you have enough wattage from the brick

  • That's a good price but be aware that the support locally is pretty lacking. The last time my laptop gave out - I had to ship it all the way to Singapore for it to get fixed and it wasn't an easy process.

I'd rather get the Lenovo Legion 5 than this if you want cheaper Gaming laptop with similar specs. You'll also get a free Marvel Avenger's game with it. Currently USD1099 @ B&H. Only priced at around NZD1600. Spend the extra NZD1000 for extra monitor/mech kb/gaming mouse.
